Family Holiday Headaches
Christmas we all thought was never going to get over, now that we are almost to Valentines day the year is going fast. We have yet to deal with Easter, Mothers day, Fathers Day, Birthdays, Anniversaries, and all the holidays of the year in between. How many of you have a family like mine? Where you just dread going to your in laws for a visit only to be completely miserable until you finally leave.
Better yet they come to visit you! Your anxiety builds up more and more until the day finally gets here and when you think you can't cope any more its over! Are your families much like Every body loves Ramon? I know mine are! You get your first child and your mother-in law thinks you have no clue to caring for a child, and she thinks she is being helpful with the 411 but instead she is being completely annoying to the point that you feel as if you are in Grade School again.
Then theres those Meals that you try to loving prepare, yet to find out that your husband went and visited his mother before he came home. She sends home supper just knowing yours isn't good enough to feed her baby! I think sometimes men deliberate visit their moms just so they can be BABIED!! Eventually they do begin to grow out of wanting mommies affection, and begin to focus on yours.
Oh let consider your sister in laws or brother in laws that talk about any thing and every thing to the point if you make a suggestion you are always wrong and they are right, cause they just know they are. You could even prove it to them in writing but, it doesn't matter you are still wrong and their right!
Then there are the others in the family, you know the country so called red necks. When you visit they drive you crazy talking about their hunting trophies and hunting adventures. I guess you would say I fall in that other category, and I will tell you that sometimes we talk about these things just so we can annoy you. After all you drive us just as crazy with what you have to talk about.
Of course we can't leave out the Divas and Drama Queens, when it comes to fashion. I have a daughter that is so like this. She is so embarrassed to be seen without her hair done just right or her makeup on correctly. I love it most when she asks, Mom does my hair look o.k. when you are walking right up to the door of your families house.
They could be perfect but, they will find a flaw somewhere on themselves. No wonder we all are driven so CRAZY AT HOLIDAYS!! Lets mix it all together and you have a wild family get together! I guess though if you have a great video camera its fun to film it all, cause you can watch all of it on film. Then you can see exactly the humor in it all!
